I'm sure the element is just fine. I'm sure you didn't sweep your transmitter with every frequency within the audio spectrum to see if the distortion was created by the radio itself.
Everything you need to know is in test equipment. -
I understand the point that within the audio chain there is distortion created when the amplifiers are for a lack of better terms not tuned properly for the componets used in the design, or the design itself.
What I am countering is the idea that ANY microphone produces a sound quality that has reproduction fidelity going into the pre-amp when in fact many microphones lack the ability to have the dynamic range, equalization of the frequency and introduction of a form of distortion when the signal is transmitted from the mic to the pre-amplifier stage.
Today, most don't even know what distorition sounds like, so it doesn't even matter however the distorition is there at the mic, even more so when there is a very cheaply designed diaphram mic or worst yet a condenser mic that uses actual aluminum foil made in china.
While you brought up Heil, they are not always the best, it is more of a boasting factor than anything else. My RCA M1-10006a is a hell of a lot better than any Heil, and it was cheap to buy. -
His customer sounds awful. The problem is clearly visible on Mike's test equipment, but Mike is too stupid to know what he's looking at and he assumes that we are dumber than he is. -
Oxbow Thanks this.
