I saw a man in VT at the shoe store last week, paper in hand, asking if they were hiring. Then, he had the mgr sign the paper to prove he was actively looking. That was the same system they used back in the early '80's. He told me he has to do a minimum of 3 per week, or lose his benefits. I guess if you don't have a PC, they still accept the old fashion pen and paper.

I wonder what he meant by the instructor put his hands on him. I took some verbal abuse on numerous occasions, mostly for my lack of backing skills. DO YOU SEE THOSE TANDEMS????? DO YOU??? WELL, DO YOU????? Then WHY AREN'T YOU TURNING?? NOOOOOOOO, THE OTHER WAY, Turn, Turn, TURN!!! FFFFFFFF, WHAT'S THE MATTER W/ YOU???? Shift, SHift, SHIFT!!!!

Sounds familiar? But no hands on. I wish he did explain that a little.

I just passed my road test yesterday, and here comes the $6K bill in the mail. BTW, perfect parallel parking, 0 pts for any backing maneuvers. I only got 10 pts for a bad judgement on a curve, still don't know which curve, but oh well.... :)

I guess when you're paying out of pocket, you put up w/ the BS, suck it up, and follow through to the end.

How do you think our Military feel about missing all those days? I am almost positive that there are a lot of Veterans on here who missed many a special day while doing what we had to do. I tried to stay away from this thread because I am new to the site but when you threw that .... comment I couldn't let it go.

If you are having problems with the separation of your wife and kids you might want to rethink your career choices. There might be other opportunities in your area but if not you might even want to consider moving to where there are.

Bottom line Do what you have to do to take care of your family. They are your number One priority! Take care and good luck.
