So who is paying students to go through school right now? I know there are some but what are they like? Roehl is one but I haven't heard anything good about Roehl for awhile and their contract is about the most expensive I've seen. Keep in mind not everyone lives in a city with LTL companies and a lot of us don't want to or can't due to other obligations. YRC looks like a good program but you have to be by a hub and most of them, if not all are in an armpit city.
I'll be waiting for your list of companies that provide pay while in school and then a short or no contract to fulfill the school cost. -
That’s great news!
Now you don’t have to keep looking over your shoulder and can concentrate on learning.
Eyes wide open from here on in and you’ll make it. -
Good deal, but you still need to get a lawyer to fight the ticket and get it reduced to like any equipment type violation. You say it’s your first ticket in 10 years they’ll reduce it. It’s well worth it.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

I sure as heck wouldn't pay any company $500 to any company for that training. There are many companies that will train/refresh you. Some will pay you during this period. Get the ticket downgraded. Then look at some decent companies. Chinatown will always have some good suggestions.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

While in the OPs case pandora has left the building, I would be remiss if I did not mention something I have yet seen said. Go look at those tables in 383.51 specifically table 2. A 15 over ticket is one of those that your otherwise clean DMV can take the hit, it's also one of those don't get another one type of tickets. You get tagged within 3 years with another one you (MIGHT) lose your CDL for 60 days. This is my point. Don't cop an attitude with the cop that's writing the citation. Take a deep breath and ask the cop nicely if they can lower the ticket to no more than 14 over and maybe even a 9 over ticket. I have been successful in doing this. This way even IF you can't get the ticket changed it's not a violation of 383.51, THOSE ARE KILLERS!

That’s correct A prosecutor or judge can amend charges but that’s not what I addressed.Bean Jr. Thanks this.

15 over is considered reckless or careless? driving on a CDL. It’s on the list of violations that require a 3 month suspension for 2 within 2 Yrs. Get a third ticket on the list, lose CDL for another 3 months, for a total of 6 months. Federal rule, applies to all CDL in all States. -
Holy Smokes!! This can only mean one thing. Honesty is the best policy!!! Glad it worked out for you. I’ve Learned owing up to mistakes ASAP takes the stress out of the situation. I wouldn’t have mentioned it till convicted. But now you have the peace of mind. You can focus on School, without worrying. Leave those old 4 wheeler habits behind. It’s all about habits. Learn some good ones. Be ready to get beeped at and flipped off regularly. Just smile and wave!!! Lol.BigBob410, God prefers Diesels, MiketheOTRCar-Hauler and 1 other person Thank this.
