Now the unanswered question I ask O/O's and L/O's
Posting their earnings . What was your reported net income you paid taxes on last year ? Answers should not start with " I have a real good tax preparer ...."

I agree don't worry, if you not hiding anything your good to go. Just nod your head like a bobble head while in school. Think of it as boot camp military style but less crap. "yes I agree what ever you say is right Mr. Instructor". Sounds like browning, it's not. Remember 90% of these threads are negative and only represent a very very small fraction of truckers opinion. I guess you can call this a venting site for the good the bad and the ugly.:biggrin_2556:

I guess it's a coincidence 90% of the posts are negative and OTR carriers have a 90% turnover rate . No one should ever leave a steady job to enter the trucking industry with a training carrier , especially if they have a family to support .

the turnover rate is because most people dont belong driving a truck
negative reports on here are not facts 1000000 truck drivers
just a few complainers most wont take any responsibility for thier own actions

Sam Hell and Dave68 Thank this.

I agree most people don't belong driving a truck . What bothers me is many of these people are desperate with families to support but the CDL Mills and training companies have no problem exploiting them and putting them thousands of dollars more in debt . I am also not happy taxpayers are the ones footing the bill in many of the cases .

I appreciate all the input guys.
Honestly, I'm not worried about being able to learn the skills. It's more a worry of being booted out before given a chance to apply them.
Yeah..I've been honest. I'm not holding anything back, but I've always been one of those people capable of jumping head first into the nearest rose bush only to come out smellin' like ####e.....just call me Murphy.
As for some of the comments about leaving a job when you have a family to take on this kind of training, all I can say is that if I had a job capable of supporting a family I wouldn't be leaving it. Again, like Pete said, it's all relative. I've been working retail and retail management most of my life and have rarely broken 25k a year. I see some of you guys complaining about making money that I would kill for a chance to make AND you have room to move up and do even better. Look, I understand that my first year is going to suck but I'm prepared to do whatever it takes to build a better life for my family.
    Attitude IS everything..
Don't get me wrong, some of you guys have been very helpful but some of you are a serious drag. I would almost say that newbies like me should probably stay away from forums like this until they have the experience to tell the difference between an honest complaint and old-fashioned whining. Anyway...I'll try and post updates on my progress...for anyone with an interest.
.....and if you're going to be in Millington this month..lemme know.
