Someone that's so serious about the job would find a way to make it work and get thru a couple weeks with someone they don't like. Suck it up, sister. It's not like you're gonna be roomies for life.

Not necessarily directing that at the OP, but in this business you're gonna meet lots of people you won't like. They're everywhere. Dock hands, trailer spotters, security guards, other drivers, dispatchers, load planners, etc. If you're sensitive and take everything personally, you will make yourself a lot of unhappy moments driving a truck.

 

Right! Great advice here. And if I may add, if you go into a place with a bad attitude or automatically dislike it or them, it's gonna suck. Go everywhere and greet everyone with respect and a smile. Being pleasant gets you a long way sometimes.

 

It works for us. We prefer being left alone to do business as we please. What works for us is nobody's business but our own.

LOL! I'm with ya man! I ordered a bunch of shaving soaps once and the company through in a few samples, 1 of them was Nag Champa........NOPE! Friggen GROSS!

 

So anyways are you going to take that bus ride? I wouldn't complain too much about it this is the easy part of trucking.
