How is Celedon a "good company" ? The csa scores tell a different story. unsafe driving 44% - fatigued driving 44.9% - driver fitness 62.3% - vehicle maint 55.9%. :biggrin_25513: To me that says that operations "push" the drivers "or else" and...that the shop is doing a horrible job on keeping the trucks dot legal. In most cases this means "the shop" has no respect for drivers and/or simply don't care.:biggrin_2556:

Me thinks all those log violations under fatigued driving are from people who aren't on ELogs. It's pretty difficult to get Violation: 395.8(f)(1) Driver's record of duty status not current when just turning the truck off automatically puts you on Line 4 unless you tell it otherwise.

You get stopped by DoT for an inspection. Turn your truck off. You're now on Line 4. Look at that, your duty status is current!

60% of the bonuses are still here. I guess you're not aware that that the bonus used to be $1000. Celadon said they had to reduce the bonus after our friends on Wall Street almost destroyed the economy. Fair enough. But now, four years later, Celadon seems to have enough money to gobble up the trucking companies that couldn't quite make it, but not not enough to restore the benefits of its drivers. So you may be right about the bonuses "not going anywhere".

I'm back on the road again, but they're not pushing me all those miles that they were before January and the stay in the hospital. Still the doctors haven"t a clue, but they keep running tests when I get home. They even got me thru the house in southern FLORIDA to pick up a prescription the doc wanted me to start on before I got home for "hometime". BUT, now it seems they may not be able to get me home on time. That means 2 appointments get cancelled and the "drive-thru" at home was for naught. Pills were for one of the tests that is getting cancelled because a fill-in DM doesn't see the importance of me being there promptly at 0915 on Friday morning. My DM must be getting ready to bug-out. He's taking alot of time off. That leaves me to think that maybe I need to get ready to start training his replacement, hehe. Everyone be Blessed, and I'm enjoying myself today in Baytown, TX!

I already answered the EZ Pass question the other place you asked it. I don't know about sat radio, but I would guess yes. Only plug in inverters allowed- no hard wired ones. The new trucks have electric APUs. They require at least one year experience, and I don't know of any refresher course offered.

I have a satellite radio in my truck but it's a windshield mounted unit I bought back in 07/08. I have the antenna mounted on the mirror bracket. I believe you can have an inverter that can only be used through the 12v outlets in the truck, nothing hard-wired. The newer trucks have APUs. They don't offer a refresher course because Celadon doesn't have trainers.
