.... Seriously? You can't suggest he doesn't have experience just because his info say's 0-1 Year. Maybe he hasn't updated it? But his information was a pretty decent from what I took from it. You have 5 tickets, 4 that do in some ways hurt you from potential employment. All he said was to go to basic driving school to try and get (if you haven't already) some of those tickets adjudicated which would also put "Driving School" onto your MVR for the employers to see.. Yes you have some OTR experience but nothing recent and you will most likely have to take a refresher.

Don't shoot peoples advice down as it's not to your liking because it doesn't suggest you jump back in right away. Those company's will see the tickets even if it is after 3 years.

Anyways, that was my 2c. I do wish you luck and hope everything turns out great for ya.

Apply to a few companies in your area and be honest. What do you have to lose? Your worries will be eased one way or another.

Be upfront and honest. When the companies run your license, they will find out this. As for the poster asked why be so harsh to TG??? It is the truth when it comes to trucking. My best advice is to seek out an o/o who will be willing to retrain you. The expedite companies I know of will not touch you with the violations.

I'm not trying to shoot down any advise. Your mistaken if you think I'm looking for what I want to hear. However, I don't have time for the sarcasm and the back and forth. As for going back to driving school then I don't understand what you mean. If you mean taking a defensive driving course then that only removes a few points as far as I know and not moving violations. I don't have any points. I spoke with a recruiter from Maverick today and she told me to call back in September. I'm calling companies to see how I measure up. There are many that hire with four in the past three years. It seems that most want no more than three or two. I know the business is harder now. I saw the direction it was going in before I left. Things were getting very strict but I only know how to do a few things which include driving and pumping gas. I rather do the former than the latter. I'm looking into other things but I'm sitting on this CDL and I kept it for a reason. I had an opportunity to let it go but I did not because you never know. I have applied to some local city jobs with good benefits but there is a long waiting list. I need something for the mean time and the in between time. I don't plan on trucking for ever if I can help it. I never said I was innocent. The police are just doing their job. I don't intend on trying to hide anything from any future employers. Thank you all for the replies.

Don't take what I said in the wrong way. Just had a horrible day today and my mind isn't 100% thinking in ways to word stuff nicely. As for school, I misread your ticket dates..
