I been clean sober for 14 years
approved drug counselor in prisons
and had a son die of overdose of hydrocodone
other then that i know nothing about it

 

Its pretty simple really, the drug urine test will look for I think 5 different classes of drugs. Legal drugs can show a positive result for an illegal drug. Example, a heavy pain killer can show a positive result for heroin. Most of the time nobody will listen to your legitimate explanation even though you have done nothing illegal. The problem is if you ever have a wreck and this is discovered they gave you a pass it would be construed as this person should never have been allowed to drive this truck and the company will come under fire. You can see how they cover their own behind for this type of thing.

 

hey, i was scared clueless @ going to ffe because of the horror stories about them, thing is, everybody has to start somewhere, all you can do is grit your teeth and deal with it. as for the narco and your health card, do you mean your DOT med card? either way, if you have a legit script, i think you'll be allright, best bet though would to be call recruiting ASAP in the morning and get a hold of a supervisor and explain BEFORE you head out.

Yes you are required to disclose All meds you take. Which is equally about your own protection as it is the employer. If you fail to disclose the med and if it is a disqualifier you will have a failed drug test. A failed drug test is nearly impossible to overcome in this industry. If you list the drug and it is a disqualifier you will just get sent home. Always bring your prescriptions with you.
