Western Distribution out here in Colo. also monitors braking, it sends an alert to a computer on the safety officers desk via the qualcomm.

Well then if somebody shoots at my truck I won't take Roadmedic's advice and hit the brakes and call 911 . I'll go back to plan "A" and put him in the ditch .

Then you would be at fault for an accident. If this policy is true it is pretty stupid.

pittsburghpa, sound like you having a pretty tough time here: I'd just say "what ever you got fired for, what's done is done is done" as long as you know within yourself you did everything you could do, you should be able to live with that, if you didn't you don't need anybody here to tell ya, you gotta make a change: Now I'm not all into this positive thinking stuff, (I'm not downing them) I just wanna keep it real; to me there is an opportunity here sooooooooome where, now I may not be able to get to it but you can "if" you don't get discouraged. First off any kinda dam company tell me I'm suppose to roll over a four wheeler rather than roll the truck is not even worth wasting my time and it shouldn't be worth wasting any sleep over: I believe you're gonna come out of this thing earning more money and with a better company: So right here right now; forget about the past, it's gone it 's over, bury it!!!

Here, this will help: get to the FMCSA "SAFER" site: click on SafeStat Online, click through to access safety module, then do a "Carrier List" search for the state you want, then line them up by the last Review, and drop down to the page of carriers that updated their info around say' about, Feb-march of 2009: that means these carrier are still current; check power units. Now listen to me! you are only allowed in for an hour a day, that means "be there less than an hour" got it!!

Stop thinking big carrier: find several smaller companies and line up several potential takers: this way you can sell yourself strong, make a list of things that are most important to you: line it up with firm confirmation on the phone--not when you walk in the door: matter of fact when you walk in most all the negotiating should be sealed in writing preferably. and remember there is an opportunity in all of this for you. And now you know-------what I know, cash in, Jo Bernard

One flaw in the theory there...if it was intentional, then it wouldn't be an accident...now would it?!:biggrin_2558:

They can download your braking habits from the trucks ECM.A lot of companies have gone to removing those drivers with a high percentage of braking(read likely tailgating) or excessive hard breaking counts in a pre-determined period.

CSA 2010 google it or search this board. If you haven't heard about it by now you haven't been paying attention. They even got notices up in some of the bigger shippers now:biggrin_25524: This shouldn't effect you on that because there is no citation:biggrin_25525: But the DAC on the other hand:biggrin_25510:

    Try another training company.

They are probably looking at it as you did not anticipate this. They expect you to be able to sense when one of them is going to cut you off.
