    Chains thru the eye are a requirement ,straps over the top are also a requirement.

    some shippers require a twist in strap to stop the vibration and flapping of the strap so as not to damage product. some shippers of foam insulation. a strap singing(vibrating) ialso doing that where it contacts load and is apt to cut or chafe thru.

    not all loads require a twist but the higher the load a twist may be required. in 32 years i have never had anyone question me at a scale about a twist.

    now keep in mind the twist is not where the strap is completely twisted over onto itself , its got to be done correctly.
