I need advice from an experienced owner operator / please help?

It's quite possible that this economy is what's hurting you and not that your dads words weren't true at the time he spoke them. You are very right in the fact that by the time the day is done though you may be home you're too tired to notice it. I pulled containers for 2 years as a company driver, averaged 900 to 1100 a week. Left out on Sunday 7p, home tuesday 7a leave out tuesday 7p home thurs 7a leave out thurs 7p home sat 7a. I finally gave it up because it really wasn't much different than being OTR and regular OTR pays a whole lot better.
