Well I’m not sure how else to it do other than 8.75 hours a day a pice. If we are under a load 24/7 and have to run recaps, how do we work it out? We arrive drop off the load, check in and then bam, another load.
I need advice on running recaps.

Or y’all need to work for someone that shows you the right way to run and offers more flexibility.

But you also need a backbone and don’t let them push you.
cke, Grouch, dngrous_dime and 3 others Thank this. -
2 days off will help.
Sounds like the are matching each other and limiting to 17.5 hours out of 24. -
Our teams all run 10 hour shifts, never a problem.
123hereicome Thanks this. -
I THINK, someday, we're going to go back to outlaw days, certainly not like my shenanigans, but some sharp computer whiz will figure out how to jam their signals, and I say Hallelujah!!!123hereicome Thanks this. -
What this thread (and some others) show is how ELD’s have made the job more dangerous and difficult. Seems everyone is running against or with the computer instead of common sense.
When I started driving in the 70’s I was taught to know your limitations. And to understand that you are the one driving the truck and can see the road and know if I’m tired or not. Not the dispatcher. And certainly not the government!
And I think I have done a pretty good job at it with no accidents in the last 40+ years.Brettj3876, tscottme, Boardhauler and 4 others Thank this. -
