In my opinion, There is no such thing as overqualified to run a truck for ANY company....
The bottom feeders are just prone to ignore that fact to aquire the cash they get from the government for training idiots to fail!
I need advice. Please.

Gashauler I couldn't agree more. I've hauled gas to plenty of mom and pop stores where you have to squeeze into some tight spots to unload. I still work part time for Bartlett petroleum here in Merced (in fact my ugly mug is up there under staff) I just applied to C.R. England. I figure I have to start throwing out apps. and see who calls me back.

HAHAHA
check into Ryder..... If you want to long haul or dedicated
Jb hunt has many dedicated runs out there and so does swift and schneider....
Although i would never go long with any of those except for ryder.....
Check your local rail road yards and see who is contracted for fueling remotely .....
I did that for a while out in roseville and had a blast.... -

Thanks guys. Is it sound thinking about going with CRE for a while (maybe one year) and get the experience then find another company? Or do you have to very careful who you go with from the very beginning?
-
1) Do you enjoy having NO money to spend on yourself?
2) Do you want to be a lease operator?
3) Do you have an urgent need to be ripped off?
4) Are you ready to pay $1000.00 per WEEK, on a lease of a pretty new truck?
5) Should you be interviewed and fitted for a white straight jacket to be certified insane?
If the answer to any of these questions was yes...then you would be a prime candidate for CRE!cactusjack and SavageSam Thank this. -
Ok, well I need to do something, Fast. I have been in construction (I drive a concrete mixer) in CA. 12 years and NEVER seen anything even close to this bad. I figure I'd have to start with some company I wouldn't want to stay with. They are supposed to build a Wal-mart distribution center here in town. Supposed to break ground this year. 1.1 million square feet. Maybe I can survive with them and then get hired as a Wal-mart company driver. What else do you suggest? I always thought (now I know better) that if you had a clean DMV print out and no gaps or firings, you could write your own ticket. Boy was I naieve (sp?)
