Sam do this 10 times a day.

    The purpose is 2 fold.
1 it might knock some sense loose.
2 if it doesn't it will condition you for how your head will feel at CRE.

Then for an encore try this.

Now get ready to manage your finances.

Just my $0.02 but you might try Gordon. They seem to run I-5 quite a bit and seem to have a lot of west coast stuff.

    just sayin'

That's who I was thinking too for the OP. I applied with them but got turned down since they're primarily west coast lanes. Haven't heard horrible things about them but who knows.. my .02 too.. good luck..

And I'll admit I'm a noob and know NOTHING. But please stay away from CRE.. I hear nothing but bad about them and they can't all be trucker fairy tales.

Just don't jump on the first opportunity.. Shoot, the first company to call me was Werner and I told 'em I'll call YOU back.. From the wise truckers I've talked to on here and in person, it's your first year that is soooo important.. So don't F it up with a company that'll starve or abuse you 'til you quit.

    Again, my .02

    Be safe out there!

Sam, I don't understand if you've got gasoline experience why aren't you looking at the gasoline tanker jobs. Once you get qualified there will be some company that will hire you. It was that way in Las Vegas anyway. We'd take a driver with tanker experience over any OTR driver no matter how long ago it was.

Gashauler, are they hiring in L.V.? I've got a clean 10 year printout. I just got off the phone with Gordon. No luck there. Just hung up with D.H.E. no luck there either. I've applied to haul fuel around here. Just TOO many drivers applying for too few jobs. I'll keep my chin up and keep paddling though.

70K in Nevada sounds great to me. HAS to be better than 70K here in CA. Right?
