The police department charged me with hit and run because I did leave the scene. 911 told me to go somewhere safe so I did. It doesn't make sense to me either but I took a plea bargain because I was told it wouldn't effect me. -

You should start with getting the transcripts and go through them, if they said no problem, then the judge needs to fix it or you may have to sue the court over not fixing it.
As for the robbery, did they possess your property?
If so, it is robbery.blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
Buddy, the time to act was back THEN, and fight the charge with a lawyer at that time. That is, if it REALLY happened that way; we get a lot first-time posters here dropping improbable high-drama stories like your own. Assuming that your story IS true (and I'm betting it's a real long-shot if it is...), I could not imagine pleading guilty to an accident that happened while FLEEING FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY.
No, there is something missing from this story. Maybe a LOT missing. Maybe it's all made up; who knows? I mean, it's POSSIBLE that somebody would just roll-over and take a criminal charge and get themselves a record, but not anybody with a lick of sense would do that. And certainly no DA would tell you that it would not affect your license, and if they did and PUT IT ON PAPER, you may have an appeal (and lawsuit) available to you.
Otherwise, if I were you, I'd just resign myself to the fact that I got myself into this mess by not using my brain. Any company that looks at your record will think "This guy is reckless and irresponsible". If you tell them this story, they'll then think "This guy ain't too smart". And if you are just posting fiction for lolz, everybody else will think "Oh, crap, another drama-poster". -
The story is correct and the guy that come up to my truck supposedly worked for my boss at the time and I DID not know this until afterwards but he handled the situation in a dumb and unprofessional manner and got fired himself. I actually have another account but I cannot access it and you can see my previous post and responses. I'm not some idiot driver either and I have never had any accidents, speeding tickets or any other type of ticket. I've been squeaky clean but if you want to dig real deep into this situation when I was 18 I got into some trouble and was charged with a felony, that time has past and I am a different person but when a government official or a big guy in a badge sees it I know they always think the worse so when this whole situation happened I was scared and not thinking straightly. Also, on my judgement it says I'm allowed to travel state to state.
Have you ever had a gun pointed in your face and nothing to defend you? I did and I panicked.
Everyone I have spoke to about the situation has been very understanding and even with police report it tells you all you need to know. I'm pretty sure your mother has told you before, if you don't have nothing nice to say, then be quiet.
Trucking is my life and I will not give up on it.
Stay blessed my friend.tscottme and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
ok now it makes sense.
Still I would have gone to the judge and asked him/her directly what can be done.
Do not call the clerk, do not ask the opinion of a ... wait ... why do you have a probation officer for a non-felony charge? -
I’m sniffing something out here. I’m thinking you got into some kind of heated exchange like maybe a good old-fashioned. I’m gonna whip your butt. Let’s fight or something with someone in a four wheeler and he got out of his car like OK let’s go and you freaked out or were mad as hell and decided to run into his car and take off, I don’t think there was any gun drawn on you. Because if someone actually pulled a gun on you then the hit-and-run would’ve been totally justified. At that point it’s anbout saving your life and You’d have been justified. Obviously the police didn’t believe it. You gotta keep your cool out here man that’s actually a big part of being a truck driver. we can all scream and yell to let off some steam behind the wheel, but we can’t lose our cool to the point where we try to run someone or something over. That’s what it sounds like you did. Your story doesn’t pass the smell test at all.
