I have cdl license class a (since December 13, 2018) with restrictions such as hearing aid, medical condition kidney transplant (surgery done July 2009), and automatic. I am thinking of getting tank endorsement or getting class m with passenger endorsement. What would be best for me under your experience?
I need an advice

It never hurts to have all the endorsements, if you want them. You might never use them all. Just depends on the job you want or can get.

The Automatic restriction is a problem, you need to restest in a manual tractor to get it removed. The states did not have this sort of BS until not too many years ago. And somehow they all think oh gee no manual, push button. Easy peasy... boom restriction across the board against those who test in auto only.
Endorsements, they are there all yours to have and keep if you want them. However ones like Hazmat require a certain amount of a three ring circus hoops to jump and twist through to get. (Not too many years ago a simple written test passage got you this one... or renewed on the spot. You can thank 9-11 for that.)
With your situation you would want to do whatever you can to be in a segment of trucking that has the least labor or avoid the lumping in reefer grocery, Meats, LTL Food service etc. -
To get rid of the Automatic restriction as well as getting the M you are looking at 2 different and distinct drivings tests. In some states like Virginia, they further divide the M. Can be done, I know many truckers with M's. As far as the passenger thing goes, be aware that they have split off school buses and if you are wanting to drive a school bus, I think that is a 3rd driving test. They will also run your background much like the hazmat. If you have any sex offenses don't bother!
