Go to a truck stop and actually talk to a cr England driver. Remember everything bad written about a company is usually from drivers that didn't work out at a particular company. I work for an ltl company I choose not to mention but there are many bad things here about it but that is not my experience or others I work with. Talk to some current employees of any company and see if it's an environment you want to enter. Most drivers will be very honest. Online many get over the top one way or the other.

 

If the recruiter refuses to address your concerns via email and they insist on discussing everything over the phone they are probably trying to hide something

 

Agreed... If there is something important to you try to get it in writing... It may not happen but try.

 

I have a pretty good friend that started out with CRE and he hated every second. Also, they have a lease-racket down cold and will put a lot of pressure on you to lease in a really BAD deal for you. I swear they make as much money leasing trucks as they do moving freight.
