I need help backing up a spread axle :(

    You just have to pay attention to which axle it's pivoting off of. Problem is, if the axles are loaded the same, uneven surfaces can cause the pivot axle to change during turns and backing.

    Practice and you'll see.

    One nice thing, you’ll be able to see over the deck for some loads which will be a nice change. When it’s empty hopefully you’ll have time to practice a little so you’re not stressed.

    On heavy let’s say lumber load’s definitely avoid jacking it and keep your angle shallow as you get used to the trailer, twisting it can get the trailer rocking which is off putting. As mentioned by others use your space and go slow. Just think no more rocking at the stoplight :)
