You're right about USA. I would have given them a lot harder look if they would take a 4 yr old DWI. Might look at them next year if I'm unhappy at CRST. But for now it's time to get thru that all important first year. Hopefully CRST does well and I can stay there for years to come. If not tho I will definately be talking to USA.

One day off per week out is crap if you ask me. I can't remember the last time I had to drive under those circumstances. If I stayed out 3 weeks, you would have a fight on your hands trying to get me away from the house any earlier than 5-6 days :)

well I'll say this. if you are just starting out you can do much much better than these companies. this is 1 of the reasons Wiseone started this site is so newbies could avoid some of these awful companies.

Let give you a little story about me. I got laid off about 5 years ago and I was in the same place you are in now. I went to a few different trucking co. and they promesed me the world and I knew better than that. After all I was not born yester day. So I started looking at truck driving schools. Most of them (the good ones) will set you up on a payment plan, Plus they will help you find a driving job. Most of the jobs they send you to will give you extra cash in your paycheck to pay back your schooling.
So as you can tell I went with just going to a school and not sign a contract. The co. I started with was not a good one to start with. But I'm sure the school will help you with that.(it was driving a 143,000 lbs tanker truck. Not a good thing right out of school!)
If your credit is less than steller Let them know that and they will have some kind of setup for that too. So just check around befor you sing a contract. Becouse most of them say 3000 but if you quit before the contract is up they will make you pay 6000. My buddy did that with Pam and he is stuk with them for a year.
P.S. I know my spelling sucks. So I hope you can read it.
