Well I live in Michigan and the one school is West MI CDL. I don't know how much you have to put down. Like I said it was 5 years ago.
But if you decide to go with a trucking CO. I would go with Roel. Most of the truckers I talked to (male and female) are happy with there choice.
I would NOT go with any other. (Thats if I had to go and do it all over agin I would go with Roel.) -
It would seem just about all the trucking companies want some type of internship. I'm sure they are investing in you and would want some return on that investment. 6 to 12 months is not bad to learn driving a truck. Especially if you have a job and don't have to repay anything back.
It seems alot of us have high lifestyles that can be real hard to maintain. Someone stated that it can take somewhere like 3 years plus to make 60,000K per year. That's if you're lucky and the economy turns around. Still, 40,000 to 50,000 k is not bad if you have the lifestyle in check.
On the other hand, if your lifestyle is in the stratosphere as to living the good life 40,000k can be a shock for you. It seems that there's a perception that here is were the money is. Alot of truckers will tell you that isn't true. Don't let the money make the man, but let the man make the money.
