I need help finding a job

Do you live in China part of the year? What does the trucking industry look like there?

 

I would maybe look elsewhere for employment. You rejected by 12 companies. Maybe get job with a construction company. What makes you think you can drive OTR if youre on disability? I would question that as a carrier.

 

Yes, but I'm going to rent my condo in Beijing and live full time in Las Vegas. Already found a renter family for the Beijing home. Trucking is growing like crazy in China. All I've seen are cabovers. The police are really cracking down on truckers in China and that's a good thing. They run through school zones with air horn blasting and doing about 50 or more in a 15 mph school zone. Same with 4-way stops and red lights and crosswalks. Until recently only the trucking companies were held responsible for all that, but now the drivers are also and being fired and losing their CDL right on the spot where they committed the offence.

 

I've counted as many as 22 cars on one carhauler rig in China. They like to get in the hammer lane and pass everything on the freeway. @Florida Playboy
Lots of women truckers in China. One of them unloads cars at a VW dealership less than a block from my condo. She's all over that trailer doing it alone and wears a short skirt and dressed like she works in an office.

 

Why did you decide to live in Las Vegas full time? How is the cost of living here compared to China?

 

Cost of living is rising rapidly in China due to the new middle class growing by the millions. One example; I paid $145K for my Beijing condo about 12 years ago and today it's worth $1,000,000.00 and that's why I won't sell it. The plans from the Central Government are to build up the area, so prices are still climbing. Right across the street, 4-lane, they're building a movie studio and Disney style amusement park, a subway station, plus another subway station just a few blocks away and also moving thousands of high paid government employees to this area. I'm right in the middle of all that; just lucked out.
Not too long ago I was in Las Vegas and San Jose,CA and noticed shoes and clothing, "Made in China" are cheaper in the USA than in China. Can't figure that one out!

I see, was just curious why anybody who owns overseas property wouldn't want to live there seeing how the US is going down the toilet.
