Thanks but I tried driving it and went down south 35 to Des Moines around 7 something and then on the 18 to Mason City/ Charles City. Cause many problems on that road because I was going 15-20mph and almost got hit several times. I got pulled over for complaints and officer gave me a warning. But then the truck couldn't go any longer than the exit to Charles City and had the tow company come pick it up. Think im giving up on it![]()
I need help please please help

Did you post it on loadboards?

And my 2 cents.
You have dirt in the tank or in the fuellines.
From what you told ,that it was strong for a while after changing filters, your filters are allready full again.
You can check that.
Just unsrew the filter and see what comes out.
I'm guessing that the truck stood for a long while at the guy who sold it? -
You really aren't looking for a shop too hard then, because at mason city, freightliner is on the east side of the interstate right there where you get off for the pilot truckstop.
SHC Thanks this. -
So your the driver I passed that was giving problems. It was very dangerous to drive in that condition. I post up a thread about it in the accident section of this forum. Just try to get it fixed or if you can't then search for auto transport company to help you outSHC Thanks this.

Sad to hear you are having problems, but you have no clue what you are doing and obviously don't seem to care. There a plenty of diesel repair shops since Albert Lea, but you didn't want them to work on it. My guess is you are broke, and probably bought this truck on Craigslist or Ebay without doing your homework.
Emolson Thanks this. -
That's what it sounds like to me as well....

THAT ^ sounds like the *dingdingding* winner -
I had no choice but to try to get it to the nearest exit. At first It was ok but then it started giving problems and there were times that I almost got hit by trucks. When I was in Albert Lea there were shops but couldn't work on it at the moment. So I check out other places and they couldn't work on diesels. After that I went to Autozone and got a new battery there the truck was strong and good so I said in my mind since now is good I will try to go to Orlando. So it was going good but started to do the same thing. I pulled over to a truck stop more like a gas station but several trucks was parked there and went to go talk to some few drivers to see if they can help. So some tried giving me an advice and 1 actually came in look at the truck but didn't know exactly what the problem was but did tell me it might be the fuel filters. So after I left and then continue on Highway 18 I think to Charles City and that exit before Charles City the truck stop in couldn't continue so I had to call 911 the officer came in called a tow truck and Came to asist and took to a shop. They took it to a shop and then in the morning that's when they tell me they don't work on diesel. So I paid towing again to a diesel shop in town and they did a little work so it was running but then I tried going again headed to Waterloo and started doing the same thing. Now I'm back to a motel in Charles City not going to fix it no more but what what I will do is the rent a box truck a big 1 with a tow dolley and put the truck and pull it to Florida. I tried contacting a auto transport company since last week and still haven't come pick up my truck so I give up the only thing now is renting a big box truck with a tow dolley and driving to Florida.

I realize that it is very dangerous and especially when my tail lights 1 side is working and the other is not it's hard for truckers to see me and there 1 time I had to pull to the side shoulder or I was going to get hit. Some truck drivers seem to be aggressive and always in a hurry. I mean is that the way most truckers are. I am not broke is finding someone to fix is that type of vehicle. I passed to several garage in Albert Lea some change fuel filters for me and some couldnt work form me so I couldn't stay. It is very hard for me to find someone to fix it because not too many people in small towns on diesel and if you do find someone that can it will probably take 2-3 days to work on it and im trying the fastest way to get home so I can't be scheduling appointments

if the truck was THAT bad back at Albert Lea, you should have waited THERE for someone to get it in.
Instead, you put another 150+ miles behind you, ignoring the public safety. The Challenger and SHC Thank this.
