I didn’t submit a resume, and you’re a veteran. Seek out services, they’ll help you make a resume and take care of you most times for free. When I first separated I went to my states employment services and asked for help. They had workshops on how to interview, make a basic resume and other job seeking services.
I’m sure the railroad interview are all the same, safety, safety, safety that’s all they care about….hearing at least. As long as you can still lift a knuckle up to your chest you’re good to go.
I need help please, Unemployed

Why don't you look into going OTR? Since it sounds like you aren't tied down ..plenty of them are looking for drivers..I know a guy that's been through about six companies in the past three years and a semi mega.company hired him..he's had a minor accident or two. Longer runs out west and the open road might be a help for you
austinmike Thanks this. -
Post in the Trucking Jobs "Seeking Employment" sub-forum. I can guarantee someone will come along with an offer that fits those needs.

As bad as it is, I stick with the trucking industry because it doesnt require a resume or interviews. Those two things I am not capable of. How I got into csx in the first place I have no clue. As much of an opportunity this may be, it would be impossible for me to take advantage of it. Most trucking companies are crap but for me getting a job is atleast possible. I just have to find something that would last more than a few months.

@squeaky2073, maybe someone needs to remind you.....
if you are a vet with an honorable discharge--you basically have the job world (here in the US) by the tail.
Case in point: recently, I applied for a tanker driving position....hauling fuel for Love's (I already haul fuel, but for another carrier).
I finally met the guy who got the job--he was a vet, and his previous tanker experience was with (drum roll please, while I open the envelope)....
.......<<<let the suspense build>>>..........Schneider National.
So....to anyone/everyone else out there--this begs the question--if Schneider experience really is truly just "total crap"....then please, please, please...explain to me (and everyone else).....how the vet got one of the more desirable jobs in the tanker world...when Love's never even got back to me (total disclosure: I'm also ex-Schneider--but not tanker)?
Was it just "dumb luck"? Or was he hired strictly because he was a vet with an honorable discharge (I really don't think so)? Or maybe something else, instead?
To all vets out there, please understand--I hold NO malice or anger towards this guy--I think if he's man enough to handle overseas tours in Iraq and/or Afghanistan, and then later also survive & thrive in Schneider's tanker duty--then he TRULY deserves that job with Love's!!!
Also: @squeaky2073 -- find the nearest VA, and check yourself in.
You need professional help with that depression, Dude!!!
