If you are a veteran, get in to see one of the social workers there. If you are not find your local community social services office. Above all, don't get discouraged. There's help out there, to help you get into trucking if that's what you really want.
I need help please...

Family always comes first. I don't know the way you were let go, but I would sign up for unemployment if they let you go and informed said company of family crisis.

I feel like an anomaly at 32. No Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Instagram... Never.
I've got a handful of pals that have my back in a bind spread out across the Northeast.
Studies have shown that frequent Social Media users suffer greater occurrence of depression. This predominantly because they only see the 'good' (idealistic) aspects of their 'friends' lives.... What they fail to see is that ####, that real, raw, visceral #### that lends itself to a human connection. Suffering. -
I have to agree with Six there, what happened back in the day when we could not jump on a forum be hidden from everyone and ask for advice?
I think what got me is reading these few sentences with my thoughts added.
I was just fired yesterday from my job delivering cigs, tobacco, and other convenience store items.
So it is an easy job, a lot like fast food to me.
My grandpa had broken his hip and I went to the hospital with him and missed 3 days.
My dad was hurt a month ago, fell hard broke a rib and his ankle but I took an entire four hours off my job to attend to this, why three days at the hospital?
I just don't want to work another job I am not happy with and want to follow my dream.
Too bad. You got to do what you got to do. Most of us have jobs we hated and then moved onto something better, but to expect a "dream" to be fulfilled just because you got fired seems to speak of desperation.
I am harsh because how many times have we heard "it is my dream to drive a truck" or "I want to follow my dream" crap. It seems it is a cliche to convince us that this is special to them but if you hear their background story, it always seems to be a last ditch effort in getting their lives together. -
Aw pure thing I'm sorry.im so down heartened for you.life is so terrible can I be your cheerleader you pure man .Not grow up put your boots on and go to work you got fired the world goes on quess what problems pass you going to waste life by throwing your self a pity party grow upRuthless Thanks this.

None of that is a problem here sunshine or is that darkness. Try the 180 somewhere else. I call them as I see them.
-
I did call in man, they still fired me. Im done with this forum all it is is sarcasm.
-
There is good advice to be had here just keep your head up!
-
Chinatown is the only one on here that offered me real help. I thank you all for your sarcastic aswers.... It's no wonder most truckers don't bother to have a CB radio anymore... If they asked for help or advice on it, they would get a smart@ss answer. I just landed a factory job today. I'm gonna work there till I get on my feet then pursue my dream.

Haven't read it all did you get charged? Were you found at fault on the copy of the report given at the scene?
