Oh Bonus! Your only child was killed in a car crash! Tell him what he's won Reaper. You don't have to worry about Birthdays, Xmas, or any holidays. Go anywhere you want, do anything you want to do. Really sad If you ask me. I do it all the time. I punch walls, I cry, I scream, but I teach you fools how to drive. If one of you listens to me, you will be a Stellar driver. I made a driver, all I have left. Steering Wheel holders are a dime a dozen, I will run with the Big Dogs.

This is a tough job when wife and children come in to the equation, Don't know there is one right answer, Sorry my friend, but the one that will need to make the decision on this will have to come from you, If your wife and child mean more to you than driving over the road, maybe try and find local work, even if it's not driving, I hope you find a good balance in chosen career and family time

You need to man up brotha. I walked away from a 50K job, day shift, home every night, to go on the road. Why? Way to much stress at the old job. Is there stress out here? Sure, but I'm happier and making good money. I have a wife and a daughter who's a senior in high school. I hate missing that, but I'm home every other weekend. We have a nice house and cars and such we'd lose if I didn't man up and stay out here and make a good living. We're the men of the house and we need to provide. Man up, get out there and support your family. If you want to look for something that gets you home more then fine, but stop quitting jobs or nobody will ever hire you.

To the OP its a tough decision the best advice I can give is you are gonna miss alot so when you are there make sure that all of you is there and the wife and kids know that. Its easy for the family to feel guilty that Dad has to work so hard cause of us. Don't let that happen let them know you are happy to do what you do to provide for them. Again you can't make every event so the ones you do make sure they know you are there and wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
