Just another symptom of the joyless bunch of losers that are taking over these days. The only thing they laugh at is somebody getting hurt or in pain. What a sad world we are becoming.

 

Really what the problem is that most in my generation have been bankrupted by the school system, they have been raised in this touchy feely your feelings matter environment, and they are in no way prepared for the real world.

Further compounding this issue is the fact that for the most part mom and dad are so busy working to pay off their 2nd and 3rd mortgage, and the multiple mini mortgages they took out to buy a couple of cars, and to make minimum payments on the credit cards they have run up buying all the stupid crap they don't really need to pay attention to actually raising a child.

Thus our youth are cast out into the great American nowhere land looking for direction anywhere they can find it, and a sad reality is that many feel nothing but pain in the emotional sense and this is why they find the physical pain others endure so amusing. It is because it is the only thing they can relate to.

They do not know what love, compassion, or success feel like. They don't know what it feels like to be a winner, because they are raised in an environment where everyone is told they are a winner, where there are no losers.

Fortunately some work their way out of it and can move on to bigger and better things and have a fulfilling life. But most are going to be stuck in this rut the rest of their lives.

I would add the being responsible for ones actions and having the fear of god put on your hind end. Today it's I'll do what I want, nobody can touch me. How hard is a timeout?
Alot has to do with the older generations doing without growing up and they want their kids to have everything. It's nice, but spoiling a kid doesn't teach them anything but irresponsibility. Most parents don't realize they are doing more damage than good.

 

I will admit I used to fall into this group. Luckily I found my way into the US Navy, and it is funny how such an institution will show a young man the error of his ways.
