Well you may be laughing out of the other side of your face because Schneider has been great to hubby and me as a team. Roehl doesn't know how to run solos much less teams. So I'm sorry for those who are with the power of the red (only thing red with Roehl besides the color of their trucks is a driver's bank balance.![]()
I Quit, Hey Roehl see you later.

ETCH I am truly sorry to see you leave. I have enjoyed your posts both as a Roehl company driver and as an I.C., and also the few times we have talked at the Gary terminal. Thankfully the problem did not damage your engine (Roehl may have offered you a $14,000.00 credit at the Gary shop). I hope the choice program works out for you, choosing you own loads sounds like a neat deal. Please let us know how it works in the real world. Again best of luck at the Pumpkin Patch, and remember when going to the Gary terminal you now turn right before the RR tracks not left after them (your really going to miss those bumps). And if your truck needs service some day just bring it on up the road, they will work you in.

BobMac Thanks this.

Please let us know how it goes at Schnieder. It's a place I was thinking of going if I lease on to a company. -
Hopefully everything works out for you at Schneider.

Etch,u should start a schneider thread detailing ur new adventures!

Did you choose to go the % plan or mileage? The % plan with choosing your own loads looks pretty good.

I am running thier choice program and I really like it. I choose where I am going and when I go home. I don't have a need to talk to anyone at SNI. All my freight selection is done on the laptop. After only running a month on thier choice I don't think I could ever go back to a mileage based program with a dsr and planners. I am glad I spent a year as a O/O with Roehl because it helped me understand this side of trucking. The good thing about SNI is they haul 7% of Americas freight. The options and type of freight you can select from is awesome. I like hauling Frito lay loads as they are light and pay generally over 1.40 a mile. I have hauled only one load over 40000lb since coming here and that was to get home. Being able to select the type, weight, and delivery options is a real plus.

Yeah I agree with what you said. Being able to cherry pick those light loads is a real sweet option with fuel being your biggest expense. How far in advance can you set up loads?
