If you complain about it, the cheerleaders on here say you are "not cut out for trucking".
I Quit (if Roehl had an exit interview it might have gone like this)

That was me Gypsy and if you would like to see the spreadsheet I am keeping you can find the link on my blog here. I have not updated it for October but will when I return to the road in a couple of days. I have no reason to tale fibs. I myself don't plan on being here forever as I am constantly applying for university positions and hopefully will get one before I am applying for social security benefits.

As far as cheerleading if directed at me I am only stating the facts as are related to my personal experience thus far and that may well change, I can not speak for the experiences of others. As far as most folks not being cut out for truck driving I don't think that takes much explaining if you examine the incredibly high turnover in this industry.

If you can't make a minimum of 1000/wk, you are wasting your time. -
dont make that kind of money, unless your in a union job, and the last time I checked those jobs are going by the way side ! -
I am suppossed to start Orientation at Roehl on November 15th and this thread has me even more nervous than I already am! I am in a local training school and Wednesday is my 3rd attempt at the NYS CDL A Road Test (problems parallel parking). I also am requried by Roehl to have my Coil Endorsement before I show up as well. Mega stressfull...I know work is going to ba as stressfull is not more, but I need the work!

IM sure you will do fine, just use good common sense and drive. Heck I was so nervous I had cotton mouth big time, the driver trainer says to me relax dude, we just want to see if you have the basic's down. the real training starts when you go out with a trainer on evo's 1 and 2. try not to stress out about it and again Good Luck !

Maybe you guys can help me out.... I have been at Roehl for 9 years now with this Jan going o/o, I have had issues with them in the past but have always felt if you had legitimate concerns they were addressed promptly. I'm not talking about the whiners that sit at the Gary/Marshfield yard who nitpick about a missing screw or a loose whatever. I have also noticed changing freight lanes which most companys go thru, you lose some and gain some not a big deal. I have some weeks at 2100 but for the most part I am doing fairly well at Roehl. In my time here I have tried national, midwest, dedicated Sonoco, wood chips, o/o whatever they have asked me to do. so my question would be how do you let it get so backed up you quit over things that if addressed right away would work out better for everyone
