I have been with KNIGHT 3 1/2 years WEST COAST, they cater to there drivers needs. I'm home when ever I want to be home and I'm never more then a day and a half away.. Ive posted alot about Knight on here and how much I like them! However, what ive noticed is Knight isnt really a good company once you get away from the west coast. Ive talked to our drivers from back east and also on these message boards, and its usually the drivers away from the west coast that have bad things to say about Knight... Good Luck and Drive Safe!

They just told my husband he has to have 1 YR OTR and I think that Terminal they connected him with was out of Tulare. My dad however had his terminal out of Phoenix. My husband is just biding his time. LOL. He has had his CDL for 4 years, but has NO OTR experience. Thanks for the 411 thought. Could prove to be helpful.

How would someone in SoCal fare for hometime with Knight? I ran for TMC for a very short period of time, so I'm a newbie still, but I cant stay out that long because of a sick kid and trying to unload a house (in the SoCal market, you can see how challenging this is).

They have a add for drivers here locally for 7/7 and dedicated that I wanted to ask them about, but I can't get ahold of anyone in recruiting at the number I was given and they have yet to return my msgs. :biggrin_2552:

I went to knoght orientation and left before completing it. The per deim is a joke, they want to take .02 per mile to offset the cost of proving it. If you ever ran a business you know the tax savings offsetrs the cost of providing a per deim. They offer no A/C but the truck will not idle if the outside temp is 70 or over. We all know if the outside temp is 70 the inside of a sleeper will be 85. They tried to make it all sound good like weekends off, but then they tell you they want you to run 2 weekends a month. promise you can go hiome AFTER you run 2,500 miles but then tell you freight is down so you may need to stay out longer to get the 2,500 miles.
By the middle of the second day I knew what they were about. Share holders come first, customers second and drivers last.
I have been a co-driver, O/O, and have worked in safety and know all the B######T that a companie can throw. Knight is full of it.

Gee, I believe it is voluntary to be on per-diem at Knight, so get your BP down and maybe someone else will let you complete orientation

Yea, what a bad deal making you pay taxes on .21 a mile instead of .34.:biggrin_25525:

Them reruns of dumb and dumber you keep watching are not doing much for you.

    8it Thanks this.

Do they slip seat out of the lakeland FL terminal and do they let you take the truck home? Finally, do they offer regional?
