Is nothing electrical, not selenoid, is mecanical issue inside , probably drum in the back part of transmission or bearings wear out. Nothing you can do by your self,need special volvo puller to remove gears inside. Limited parts availability at volvo dealers also. There is aftermarket parts suplier selling parts in US but you need someone who know how to work on this
Idk how this side work ,i am new here but my opinion is that transmission have mecanical issue. Also relay for the transmission in fuse box ,under dash can do it ,but most time it is mecanical issue. Hi there, I have 13 Volvo vnl730 D13 engine I-shift transmission.acting same as yours, after driving around 50 miles check transmission message pops up and losing power, gas pedal become so soft no rpm at all after I pump the gas pedal it's slowly building and truck keeps moving , no fault codes or check engine light, sometimes when driving up hills or at the traffic light truck just loses power and gas pedal does not respond at all. Please help what could be the issue? Thanks ahead.
Hi. Thank you very much for the information. This year 2019 I had the same problem in a truck that presented the same symptoms. Thanks to you I could solve the problem, but I still have a doubt, the relay that energizes the control unit of the I-shift works very hot from my point of view. Anyway, the truck has already worked 3 weeks without problems, like new. thanks again
