Owner operators are always the worst to train with. They are far from professional, disorganized, picky, fussy, and are always in a hurry towards nowhere. Werner is not a bad starter company, but you got screwed as far as getting a quality trainer which very few exist at Werner today. The company could improve their training program by raising the experience requirements and standards for becoming a trainer, but what do they care. That would be too easy.

There's still hope. You're better off at either Swift or Schneider. If you find out that truck driving is not quite your forté, then you could always help out at those Italian restaurants. I would choose the kitchen over driving, but I guess I'll give it another 2 years before I get away from this industry and start having a normal lifestyle again. Just my opinion.

He gives trailer trash a whole new meaning. Or maybe not!:biggrin_2559:

Dependable he is not. The guy sounds like a drunk and has no business driving, let alone being a trainer.

    JimDriv3r and Everett Thank this.

hahha....My first one when I started said he did, but never did it when I was with him.

That is a big time pet peeve for many of us. I don't really find why 'steering wheel holders' do this. If you know that you are gonna be somewhere where there is no bathrooms, don't drink anything. That simple....geez...

And for those "talented" enough to do this while driving, what is so hard about finding a rest area or truck stop?

They have these just about everywhere. Even down 2 lane roads. Eventually you will find a place to pull off and take care of business. Pee bombs are the stupidest things EVER. I have never EVER even been tempted to do this. Just another product of trip planning. If you are gonna be somewhere where you don't have access to a restroom for awhile.....DON'T DRINK ANYTHING!!!

Yes, my trainer used a soda bottle to pee in and he stored it in the driver's door nook. He kept the FMSCA and HAZMAT booklets in there as well and they were all stained and nasty. I knew he kept the soda bottle there but I didn't think what for (because there are drink holder on the center console) until one day he was driving in the heavy rain and I was in the bunk asleep I felt the truck come to a stop. So I got up and started to unzip the curtain to come forward hoping for a pit stop. He put his hand on the curtain and said "No stay back there, po po". Po po in his language means police. But I heard him zip up his pants and then it was all clear to come up front now. I asked where are we, I'd like to use the facilities soon. He said go pee on the tires.
