Well the news from the current driver is the miles are down and you can tell it...Last week a driver said he got less than 1800 miles for the entire week and this week we had probably 6 trucks that didn't even leave all week and one of the drivers came in sunday and had to wait until thursday before he had something. I've been cut completely from driving with averitt at the moment. Im currently part-time and they told me I have to get a sleep study done even though my local sleep study. When I went to the sleep doctor he concluded that no need of a sleep study and even the doctor that original gave me the 3 month card and told me I needed to have it done got the paperwork from the sleep doctor and has given me a brand new dot physical card for another year. It's complete bull-##### on averitts part and I've seriously considered going to old dominion because I was told as long as I have paper work from my sleep doctor stating no need for testing and a current card that I wouldn't face any problems with working for them. But since I got dropped to part-time I have no insurance so im pretty much screwed!

I was told that OD is paying their drivers 50 cent a miles for their line haul drivers....Now considering our guys are lucky to get 42.5 a mile thats a big difference.

Are you a city driver? I've never heard of part time road driver.

Dang dude. Did your wife run off with an Averitt driver? You apply and get turned down? You seem to be awful bitter towards the company. Or wait, you aren't one of those drivers who cries and moans about every company you work for are you?

Hope they did. If not, they'd had to replace the drivers seat from flood damage, because of the crying, and that'd cut into our profit share.

Is that what you are driving, a Cascadia as a part time combo driver?

JCMAN, all I have done in this thread is tell the truth about Averitt as I have experienced so shut your pie hole about "finally a driver who tells the truth about averitt."

I have been accused of being a recruiter, an averitt suit making up stuff to get drivers to sign up, etc and in all honesty I am getting a wee bit tired of it.

Averitt has been nothing but good to me so far. When frustrated I have shared that. When miles were less than I would like I have shared that. When I have had to sit (on two or three occasions in almost 9 months) I have shared that.

Maybe your comment wasn't meant for me but I know several of the drivers who share on this thread and we are ALL real averitt drivers who happen to like the company and what we do here.

If you think it sucks so much why not start your own thread and give some credence to your complaints. Nuff said on that.

Had a great weekend with the family and headed out this morning for Loredo. Made it to the 76mm in LA and will finish off tomorrow, get the trailer inspected and deliver to the broker on Wednesday morning. Gee I sure hope I can make it with this crappy 1200 mile start to the week and I sure hope my 2012 Cascadia POS truck doesn't break down. Oh, and the APU keeps my truck way too cold at night. What a crappy company. <sarcasm intended>

Glad it isn't just my APU making me shiver at night...I almost started a fire in the truck to stay warm the other night...lmao
