Me? A trainer? Not a chance. I am a BIG boy. Even as roomy as my Cascadia is it's too small for me AND another adult. LOL. I am sure there will be truckload positions at one or more of those locations when you get done. I wish you well, nite vision.

Arrived at my customer in Mt. Laurel, NJ. It doesn't deliver until 7AM but thankfully they allow overnight parking. Nothing like a 15 hour break. After I get unloaded in the morning I am headed to Jefferson, NJ to pick up a load headed to a Walmart DC in the DC area...as in Washington DC. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate the DC area? I really REALLY do. Might as well get it over with. At least it is heading me in the direction of home. Time to man up and get it done. LOL

One thing that irritates me, not about Averitt but about the Walmart DC...they refuse to allow drivers to call even to get directions. So tomorrow I will show up even though it doesn't deliver until Thursday morning and hope they allow overnight parking or will take it early. If not I get to try and find a place to park for the night. With an atlas, Google Earth and two GPS's I should be able to find it okay. What is the harm in setting up recorded directions to the place? Come on!

    Fewe Thanks this.

Not that this was in any way in doubt but I am an idiot. As I was looking up where I deliver the Walmart DC load I looked up the wrong city. I was tired, but that doesn't take away from me being an idiot. I am not going to Mt. Vernon, VA I am headed to Mt. Crawford, VA. Right off of I-81. This made for a very good morning. No Washington DC and I can park at our Shenandoah yard safe and secure with the load since Wally World won't take it early and as my FM said, "They get grumpy when you even try to deliver early."

Slept great here in Mt. Laurel, NJ. It was just cool enough and not too cold. It was JUUUUUUSSSSSTTTT right.

Am unloaded and now just killing a couple hours before my pick up down the turnpike. Hope you have a great day with good miles.

Is his name Wade Blocker by chance? If so you struck GOLD. Wade was my trainer and now a great friend. He is very patient and knows the Averitt way of doing things. Even after training he is just a phone call away if you need advice or help. Congrats! I am very excited for you.

I swear when you hit orientation you'll think you've joined a cult. They are so happy and nice. It actually put me on my guard because I tend to be sarcastic and my BS meter is easily moved but so far everything they told me has been true. The food isn't bad either and the hotel is nice. Keep us in touch with how it's going for you.

I talked with Fewe a couple of days ago. He seems to be liking Averitt just fine. He's doing well on the Dollar General account. It was nice talking to him and I need to call him back. Fewe if you read this, I am terribly forgetful at times so don't take it personal that I didn't call you back after our conversation. My phone rang about four more times after our conversation and I simply forgot. You can call me anytime if you need help or just want to talk. If I am asleep or backing in somewhere my phone is on silent.

Delivering now to a Walmart.com DC. I hope the planners find me something to get me going. Got a full nights sleep and shower this morning so I am energized and ready to put some miles under the truck.
