Congrats MUSTANGGT! I am thrilled for you brother. I would love a gig like that.
I had a really wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. I really got my batteries recharged. Fired up the scooter and took in some wind, enjoyed lots of family time. It was a much needed break. A mini vacation for sure.
Yesterday I headed out from Chattanooga and headed for Charlotte. What a nightmare the traffic was. OMG. Finally got tucked into our Charlotte yard and slept like a rock. Delivered at Graphic this morning and then got a load assignment to pick up at Cherryville, NC and cart it on over to Kinston, NC. Got here at the customer and deliver (drop and hook) at 0600. I am told sometimes they will let you drop early, but this is not one of those times. I am parked for the night.
So I end up with right at 700 miles by Monday night. Not a bad start. Hope all is good in your world.

I just had my interview about two weeks ago. The bulk of the interview is going over your employment history and things on your DAC. They also asked me why did I want to work for Averitt.

I didn't say that, but I honestly didn't have an answer for it.

I mean i have driven the last 5 years for a company that runs loose sleave logs and no computer or anything. so it was nothing to run 14hrs rewrite and keep going. and thats after you have deliverd 5 stops and a whole trailer of furniture. they didnt care bout you or your family values just as long as you made there deliveries on time. so im looking forward to working for a company that cares about the driver and thta is family oriented.
