So you went in for some Clorox wipes, got charged extra, “accidentally” grabbed some bread, then returned it like a law-abiding outlaw?

Sounds like Dollar General just tried to run a speed trap on your wallet, and you outsmarted them like a pro. ;)

Moral of the story: never underestimate a hungry trucker with a camera phone and a conscience.

Haven't seen that in awhile. I got to where I would make a photo copy if it was an item that had a warranty. Usually auto parts receipts

I know a man who’s wife worked at Dollar General. It’s totally pathetic what they expect from their workers. She was the only one there supposed to put away all the merchandise plus take care of customers. She locked the door and quit her job when the next truck showed up. Idk what ended up happening. They can’t keep help for anything. Overworked and underpaid and people think trucking is bad.

I came across another scam like this with NC Quick pass(toll road) I run 1 toll road with my truck around Raleigh every now and then. And in my car around Charlotte maybe 1 time a year. So recently this has happened with my daughters car and wife car..... They send us a bill showing a car on a toll road that we've never been on and for a car we dont own, also for a tag NOT registered to us. The car that is showed going through has its picture taken and a picture of its tag.

I call and dispute it and they swear its registered to us. They look it up while we are on the phone. Each time, while on the phone we tell them we've never had that type of vehicle registered to us blah blah blah... by the end of the call they say, "ok I just looked it up and we(toll agency) are one number/letter off", tag number PLE 225 instead of PLF 225.... neither of which are registered to us. And then they wave the fees...

I looked it up online and lots of forums and reddit topics about this.....

Edit to add: also, while the toll is only $1.04..... how many times do people pay it based on the threat of the withholding their registration renewal???
