Having hauled enough paper rolls ranging from 20-45K I can say that most loaders don't give a crap about loading it so it doesn't move. As long as it's on the trailer so the driver will be legal for weight, that's all that matters. The way most rolls are loaded, there IS NO room to secure your load. The only way to secure it would be straps and most shippers will not let you do anything with the load but wait in the truck until they are done loading; As is most places I run... Gordon paper, Graphics packaging, Roosevelt paper, Pixelle, etc... As far as the shipper is concerned, it's up to the driver to make sure that the load gets to the cons in the same condition it was loaded. Now with that said... I will say, it takes an AWFUL lot of hard braking to make the load shift this much. Those rolls were pretty much centered, so whoever had this load first needs to be scrutinized for the way they drive.
Probably a good idea not having a suspension dump valve........Will save a lot of drivelines from being tortured by the steering wheel holder. Not sure if does the landing gear any good though when backing under a trailer.!
