*numb-nuts
Funny thing is, that most numb-nuts in the industry are dispatch. A close second are the fleet mechanics... It shouldn't take a genius to figure out that THESE positions in the industry for the most part cost the company coin, they are NOT revenue generators and never will be... Thankfully, there are still company owners out there that fully understand this concept.

How are you making it Bleee? I ran into a snag. my voters reg. card has the wrong birth date (apparently i'm 90yo, I blame the liberals for not wanting me to vote :smt040) so i'm having to wait till my fixed one comes in or w2 form to have a 2nd proof of domicile. I'm aiming for Millis Transfer for training and work.

Once a soldier, always a soldier,,,,HOOAH! I only got out because my wife decided she wanted to get her CDL and I knew there was no way I could do drill schedules that change all the time and team drive so, I ETS'ed and I still miss it. I have about a 2 year window to get back in and still get 20 years but, not sure I want to anymore. My wife don't drive anymore so, I could get back in but, even driving solo, the Guard Drill schedule can play havic on trying to make any money as a Truck Driver.

He drill's with the guys in Morristown, right? Is "Longbow" his name? Morristown was the parent unit to Monteagle, when I first got in. We deployed to Iraq as a unit and when we got back, Morristown no longer was the parent unit. I know a bunch of guys that still drill in Morristown.... 1st Sgt Pridemore may not be up there anymore, he was at that rank for a long time...lol
BTW, "shine" is also known around these parts as "white lightning"...lol -
I may get a warning for this post, but, oh well...
I'd just like you to know that your posts in this thread have come off as extremely arrogant and self-righteous.
Frankly, it's drivers like you that are part of why drivers coming into this industry are as bad as they are. For once, a young guy comes in asking for a mentor and a way to learn more than just what some joke of a trucking school will teach him and you come in and tell him he won't last. And that was BEFORE he said he would use this industry as a springboard (nothing wrong with that). It's the fact that you just assumed because he was young that he wouldn't stick around that is problematic.
If we as drivers can't treat those who are looking to join the industry with anything more than a mistaken sense of superiority, this industry will simply continue to spiral downward like it has been.
