In my early teen's? lets see.. gas station worker, groccery store, marina, spent a summer on a sawmill, another running excavating equipment..

then, well, after graduating HS, I left for college, studying in mechanical engineering.

The summer after freshman year, I was driving tanker hauling fuel oil.

Throughout my next 4 years of college, I spent 2 years at another groccery store, then I was rebuilding Laser guided concrete screeds.

Then I took a job as a diesel mechanic for a local scrap company, putting in 50-60hours a week, on top of college. This summer, I ran out of $$ for college, but about that time, the company had an opening for a driver position, so I took it.

So hear I am, 24, 6 years of college, 2 classes away from an engineering degree, and back where I was at age 18, driving truck... funny how the world turns..

Man don't worry about it. Things are tough right now, but eventually they will turn around. You can work and save your money for a bit then go back and finish your two classes.

Life takes strange twists and turns, but if you know where you really want to go, you WILL get there.

Might as well put me in , sold shoes in high school, gas station jockey, ran a car wash, sold cars, carpenter for 30 yrs, drove LTL FOR 2 YRS, NOW laid off from carpenter work, looks like back to trucking I guess.
Seems like everybody is something else but a trucker at one time or another.
