I don't think the Hornet is generating it's own shootable target solution. Probably the Cruiser or maybe even another ship or three maybe working together in network to form a solution THEY can probably shoot on.

The reason I say that is the Hornet musts be dumping it's loading after constantly hitting it's limits trying to track this thing. I cannot stand as a rule over processed and dumbed down edited videos that contain nothing.

There are two platforms omitted from this series of video. One is a Hawkeye. A minature radar dish on a wing hanging out about 200-300 miles from it's parent carrier on threat axis. It should be able for example to catalog everything between Main and virginia and as deep as Lake Superior for air targeting.

The second much more important platform is a Growler. A 4 man highly classified EW Jet that can maybe discover how to fly along on it.
