I was just curious...

Using a John Deere 350D excavator to pick a 1-ton tote off the bed of a pickup:

  1. Overkill

  2. Right tool for the job

  3. I would've used something a little bigger

Well, if it's the only thing available. Sure it's a bit of overkill, but better that then someone trying to roll the cargo off the deck.....

Better than an 80 - 100 series forklift with no brakes, trans about to give out, bent AND broken forks, no side shift, getting pallets stuck on the forks trying to pick 2 at a time, at night with no headlights.
