Yep, this is one of my hot buttons. School is about getting the CDL. Being a Truck Driver is about keeping your rear in that driver's seat for at least a year and learning the ropes. This has already been mentioned. I don't know of any schools in the US that will prepare a driver for those times when you want to open a drain and deposit some smart-mouth traffic clerk in it.

tell them to piss off. I went to a community college and I'll take a 10 week program over a 3 week program where you're lucky if you drive a couple of times anyday. Compnay sponorship is a way especially if you lack the means to go, however it's not better than any other option.
