Ecm download before purchasing would most likely show a HISTORY of dpf and def problems. I kinda doubt it just went bad in 200 miles . My guess is someone got it running long enough to make a sale. Hopefully you figure it out quickly..

Thank you for that advise, but the MHC would not like to get advice over the phone on how to troubleshoot it because they think they know too much because of computer that tells them everything to do in a truck.

Now they just have to hire someone who can preform what the computer says to do.

Bull #### . It is your truck they do what you tell them to do. They work for you. Not the other way around. If you do not stand up for yourself in this industry you will get dragged thru the mud constantly.

    To the OP,

Did I miss something here ----->>> what problem(s) does the truck have?

    Specifically the problem, not general.

My guess is that it has engine warranty to 500k thru Cummins and that’s why it’s at MHC getting looked at. And he doesn’t have the money to pull the truck out and go to a different shop and pay out of pocket to get the truck on the road. MHC, as crappy as they are, is probably just following the steps that Cummins has laid out for them because if they don’t then Cummins won’t pay for the work either.

Take it to a Cummins shop, not a dealer. Dealers are tards a lot of the time when it comes to these things.

If they've replaced the SCR and it still has issues, the problem is most likely upstream of the aftertreatment system.

Something in the engine is running excessively dirty, or it could be wiring.

    Take it to a Cummins.
