Livestock trucks crash all the time, and even without an elog they are the worst speeders of any segment of truckers.
I don’t see why they don’t run teams so they can run legal.
I bet The Hammer loves taking them to court
I was wrong. E-logs save lives

Have been bumping my 70 this week. Was only able to drive 6 hours yesterday and on my way home. Stopped yesterday evening at 18:00. Tossed and turned all night, just couldn't sleep. Only allowed to work six hours so just wasn't tired. Now I'm finally tired and ready to sleep and my little black box says I can go.
I have no clue what Greg would do, but Drew is getting ready to fire this mother up and go home.Isafarmboy and rank Thank this. -
Almost correct. Those statistics are for the year before the e-log mandate went into effect. The statistics for 2018 will be worth a good look.
IMHO e-logs aren't the problem. It's the stupid 8 hour and 14 hour rules that are the problem.rank Thanks this. -
Most of those attorneys that use billboard ads are a joke. They always want to get as many cases as possible and settle them for quick money. I’ve seen plenty of them show up to court and ask to look at the case file because they haven’t even reviewed it, then they come up with a quick defense. They usually are bad attorneys.
If you owned a cow truck and ran out of most stockyards and saw how the industry worked, you would laugh at your team idea.TripleSix, 4mer trucker, PoleCrusher and 1 other person Thank this. -
Greg would probably stop and get a shower and eat. Then watch TV or some movies or YoutYou. He could clean his truck. Then go to sleep at 22:00 get up at 06:00. Then drive home all rested. Greg said I'm not getting up at 3am, I'll just stay up to 10pm like a regular job and sleep all night.Last edited by a moderator: Dec 23, 2018

Again, they may work long hrs but it's a team environment. Most of us are solo drivers. Regardless of, you can't compare any other line of work to trucking.

Oh ok. So it's just a one time purchase with no monthly fee?rank Thanks this.

Why livestock haulers are exempt? I can't answer that one. I don't know. Other threads have drivers mention that you can't haul livestock for extended periods of time. We can speculate all we want to as to why the mandate happened. We will never know. The ATA says its about safety. Fine. I will roll with it. Whatever. Doesn't matter. We will never know. All I know, is that it's a year later, and the horse we keep beating is more than dead.roshea Thanks this.

Nope because they aren't advancing the load

But did that driver advance the load?
