Not one post has shown that since the mandate has come about there have been more wrecks attributed to the mandate.

Oh there have been plenty by people that don't understand what they are reading. The fact is, even if the total number goes up, without noting the VMT it's a pointless number. Heck, there is even a link to an article showing wrecks decreasing when taken into account VMT. The problem is, it only goes to 2016, so no help on the subject of ELD's.

It is simply too early to tell.

Ive blown 3 tires in a decade.....all trailers. Do a better pre trip

My office staff is my wife. You want to tell her to do more ?

We all figured it out d’uh. Maybe with 15 drivers that can’t be trusted to run legal paper elogs are a savings for him I don’t know. Get him on here let’s see if he thinks elogs saves him or cost him.

Because they are O/O’s not brain dead company drivers

2011 2012 2013 2014 leases are up on Crappy nightmare trucks

I wish you would stop beating it........Old trucks and paper don’t mean illegal logs. Acknowledge it

You don’t understand jack squat. Saying you understand how to run a trucking business is like saying a baggage handler at DFW knows how to go to the moon. The baggage handler thinks he knows though LMFAO

Are you seriously arguing that Elogs save lives?

And Just how exactly would you attribute an increase in wrecks to the mandate? I dare say it cannot be done. Do you think a cop is Going to write ELOG as a cause on the accident report? Give me a break.

What I said....repeatedly for the mentally challenged.....is the more elogs we get on the road the more fatalities we have and for 2017 at least, that is a fact. the article in the OP said in 2017 we set a fatality record and if you think about it you KNOW we had more elogs on the road in 2017 than ever before.

Why can you not understand there is zero data to state this? Not even talking correlation, I'm talking raw data.
I'm sorry you cannot read the other articles posted showing the exact opposite when accounting for VMT. Of course wrecks and fatalities in absolute numbers have gone up. It's gone up every year on an absolute basis since the number were started to be tracked in 1975. It going up means not one single thing.
The only valid measure is to include VMT.

Yes I realize you hate ELD's, and some of your arguments are valid. Simple fact is the number of wrecks is not a valid argument to make. There is zero, none, nada, zilch data to say it's gone up, and some data that even shows it going down.
