    Son I can GUARANTEE if fatalities were down, the FMCSA would say it correlates and don’t you doubt it for a second

    If I ever leave Landstar, I'd get a 379 or 900, maybe an Eagle, an go back to paper.

    Wouldn't even think twice. Except to see what other states are gonna require DEF.

    Wrong again tucker.

    To paraphrase the president of Erb transportation;

    “ Erb went to Elogs because we had to. We were spending way to much office time on storing paper. It was ridiculous in this day and age. It was the right decision but then you have these other companies that had a competitive advantage and we couldn’t have that. We needed to level the playing field so it had to be mandated”

    Everyone knows this to be true. The ATA wanted Elogs to save money but I have to spend $800/truck on a self contained elog that can print from the truck or hire office staff to wait by the phone in case the DOT want to see paper. It’s a Effing shakedown down don’t spin it. And I have ZERO HOS violations. Why the F should I need a Elog? Where is my cost savings?

    Dad, if the FMCSA makes that declaration then I would call them out on it too.

    And they would be 100% correct. As stated earlier however correlation is not causation. Lots of things correlate. Every day I have breakfast AND drive my truck I earn money. That is correlation. One happens and the other happens, that is indisputable. One also has nothing to do with the other, but correlation exists. Would anyone argue that the act of having breakfast is what causes me to earn money?

    Lack of breakfast could cause you to not earn money.

    I wonder if Greg was on paper logs and got held up at a shipper to where he had to drive nonstop illegally to deliver on time even though he was really tired,
    Would Greg get er done and deliver on time or stop for a nap and let the receiver reschedule him for the next day?
    WWGD?

    Right! And then there's the difference between when I'm just not hungry vs. when eLogs "force" me to not eat.
