First of all I am enjoying the heck out of getting paid to travel and visiting customers. The finisher/trainer I have is great. I don't know how they do the set up with finisher process but they did a great job with my class of guys. The guy I have is a retired police officer and I am an ex-correctional officer. I will have to post again when I get in my own truck which won't be for another 2 weeks or so and update, but they do keep us pretty busy.

    Have a good one,

    Ayers

    Hey Ayers,
Do you have anything to update? I finish CDL school in Houston Jan 15 and Con-Way is top on my list. Are they treating you fairly? What is your starting pay? Give me any info you can please.

According to Teresa in recruiting you get .26 a mile while with finisher (which is 7500 miles) then when you upgrade to solo you go to .30 cpm.

For starters I am really happy with Conway and I firmly believe I made the right choice coming here. I have a really good Fleet Manager which runs me from 2500 to 3200 miles a week (solo). I have also decided to run team with them since a friend of mine decided to get back into driving. So, needless to say I am on my way back to FL to pick him up.

    wulfman75 Thanks this.

When I started Conway I was a Beginner. I paid for my own schooling and then went with them.

    Hello eaayers:
Glad to see you post again. In one of the other threads you mentioned to check out your blog. For the life of me, I can't seem to find it. I looked in the tab marked " Truckers Blog" to no avail. Can you or someone else point me in the right direction. Thanks.
