I I I always forget I posted this. But I've lost 15 pounds, and the quitting smoking thing is coming with time, but it's coming! Right now as we speak (or I type) I'm having lunch. A veggie tray. Lol.

OK then!! Good to hear and hope more will join this thread..Nothin wrong with livin longer,eh? If but for nothing else than annoy those who don't like us..!!
joseph1135 Thanks this. -
Hey Joseph, good for you.
My update. I've lost 12 lbs. I'm trying to do this in moderation and make it a lifestyle, as opposed to "all or nothing" (like I've done in the past). I've been eating smart, but other than hiking, I have not been exercising. I'm actually looking forward to starting tonight, as I'm finishing my fitness room today. I always liked free weights, so I've got a full dumbbell rack, weight bench, squat rack, etc. I've been accumulating everything off Craigslist at pennies on the dollar. I'm happy with the room, I hung 2 huge mirrors last night (5' x 6').
I realize food prep can be a challenge for you drivers, but this is the part I've been working on. I'm making everything from scratch, trying to focus on "pure" foods. It has almost become a hobby. When I am tempted to go out, I've got to the point where my first thought is, "I can make it better tasting and healthier at home". This has been quite a change after eating out twice a day for the last 20+ years.
Continued success to all those making the effort.Rocks and joseph1135 Thank this. -
Since I have not found myself in bed with many chubby men, I'll take your word for it.Rocks, truckon, cuzzin it and 1 other person Thank this.

joseph1135 Thanks this. -

Ooops.Forgot. Since I'm goin Long-Haul again and starting Wednesday I told my wife I'm going to be taking some of my free weights along. I've been lifting this past week at the gym and....well.....it feels #### good!!!
I realize and stress cardio should also be a part or any 'Let's Get Healthy' plan along with diet etc... Just sayin..And yup.I'm one of those old "chubby guys" with high testosterone..wife will vouch for this..
And yup..Just received my 2-year Med Card..But being of average(?) intelligence I just think I would feel better..And do a better job (at living) being 30-40lbs lighter...
bergy Thanks this. -
I peaked at 274, I'm down to 235. I can actually see getting below 200 as reality! Hopefully this summer.
Bumpy Thanks this. -
OK...Most of you know I like to B.S. on this forum but: Since Joe is never around here
I'm going to get on this thread and tell the whole World-well those on this thread anyway- what my goal(s) are.
I just got my 2year Med Card 2 weeks ago..But big deal. I feel like #### ladies and gentlemen. I can still bench 350lbs for a couple reps but big deal. I still feel like #### ladies and gentlemen...
I weighed myself today and was 288lbs-and 15 years ago when roofing (bullwork) I was 250lbs. "That" is my target weight. I'm not sure though what time frame I should set for this but I will say...And believe me..Beer on my off-time is no more. I have no intention of becoming a vegetarian, I'm not going to discuss it,argue about it,or even talk about that one- but will welcome any other feed back you may have. Not a big soda drinker or sweet eater but now that the beer is gone..I know a candy bar will be on my mind..
I start working again tomorrow so obviously won't be on here as much as have been lately;but will certainly return here once in awhile to post updates and read for suggestions.
