I tryed to join that Facebook page awhile back. I felt like I was getting interviewed for special clearance for the us government I was asked 100 questions finally I said hell with it
The stuff we complain about here is nothing to what you see guys on the group complaining about. It's to the point of complaining that Walmart isn't giving them a wake up call in the morning. I think it's safe to say, any driver on that group East of the Mississippi that's been with Walmart for more than 10 years expects new drivers to salute them as they walk past and even then you'd still be called a FNG. All of them say they'll go else where, but I can promise you even if you make more money it won't be as easy or laid back. I have my complaints mostly because I was expecting more out of working here after everyone on this page pumped it up so much, but it's nowhere near as bad as these guys with assigned trucks, set runs and 100k incomes play it out to be.
I used to work for Walmart Distribution out in Porter, TX, I was back in the area where the dispatchers were issuing routes and the drivers on the CB were some of the most vulgar mouths I've heard. They were approaching DAC (David Allen Coe) level back in his racial days.
Lots of angry otr drivers on the radio while waiting to be unloaded. I'm scared to put it on 19 when at a GR D.C.
Every truck I saw out the window was white with "Walmart" on the door and the dispatchers were getting on them. Calling their truck numbers out and telling them to clean it up or go home.
Who was the poster a while back that got into a tiff with another driver and mooned them? Lol.... That seems an appropriate salute.
I don't think that's even good enough for some of the senior brass. They'd like us to get down and bow to them. Tell the senior drivers how grateful we are for the ways they paved for us. According to them, they built Walmart. All of Walmart.
