As is often the case with any number of nuanced issues be they legal, political or cultural, the lay persons understanding does not always rise to the level of sophistication that embraces the numerous nuances.
Like you, I work in a truck; my opinion as to the constitutionality of this regulation is just my opinion and as such has a very limited value.
Having said that...I'm not surprised that legal challenges pertaining to this regulations legality are not on the docket.

  4. The commie-fornia state government is broke, the states unfunded liabilities are 500 billion to 1 trillion dollars. Where do you think they can get chump change. The largest industry "trucking", with lawyers on retainer, they can fight with any company on CARB fines.
The most recent 9th Circuit Court March 3,2015 shot down the case for lack of subject matter. It's an up hill battle.

Untill some scientific study shows the effects of the mass introduction of DEF fluid discharge and waste products Causes more harm than particulates, the tree huggers will be calling the shots.

This has nothing to do with the original OP post. And your subsequent replies.

California does not have the legal authority to regulate interstate commerce nor do they have the authority to dictate what the other 47 states in the continental US are going to do point blank... If you really think they do I think it's time to go back to school

But it's not a level playing field. How much grant money was available to out if state carriers for them to upgrade? How many out of state carriers got the $50k grant to help purchase a compliant truck?

Not to mention the companies that invested in new equipment and got slapped when the deadlines were moved back and the fly by nights with duct taped Freightliners were able to undercut them because they weren't making truck payments.

It's a low-brow name for a "staff member" to be using. You show yourself to have less class than someone who is actually being an ###wipe. But, that doesn't mean you have the ability to take the higher road, so... carry on.
