    Oh joy...

... I'm going to be running this from SLC to Barstow tonight. Hopefully night running will be workable and traffic will be lighter. It's said that the Cedar City to mm 64 on I-15 in Nevada detour will add 77 miles and I'm sure it will add several hours to the journey even at night.

The brothels might add another couple of hours...

Ditch Doctor speaks the truth. I went through there around the same time he did. Had a delivery in Cedar City and made it 4 hours late with 10 minutes left on the e-log. It was without a doubt the worst traffic back up I have ever seen. It started just outside of Caliente. Heading North. But both directions were f"ed up.

Lucky to get over 5 mph. Pop your brakes and sit for 5 plus minutes. Took me 8 hours to go from the petro to Cedar City. I had fun tooting the air horn at people jumping out of their cars to pee behind a bush! I think I saw a lady having a baby...

They are saying 2 to 3 weeks now to repair the I-15...

Not sure which post you are talking about 'olhand. If it is one I posted, that was strictly through the gorge between St. George and Mesquite. Everything else I have seen says 15 is still closed to big trucks, south of Mesquite. There is a route around, but they aren't letting big trucks on it. Just like anything else, there is a lot of confusion, and a lot of conflicting reports.
Latest from St. George News, (as of this post.)
You are not going to get through in a truck between St. George and Vegas. Simple as that. Have to go run up 18, on the two lane roads that were never designed for this type of traffic.

broke down in claliente. water hose blew. Brake down in baker. now we got fuel in water.

gonna be hanging out in barstow till who knows when.

my printer quit working. logs by hand now. and baker has no power. can't buy some KFC while I wait for the tow.

you all should be happy over a 6 hour turn in panaca. I'm going on 18 hours for one load with no guess to delivery now.

Nah, they are protesting being busted by St. George cops when they bring their trade up here. Perhaps if they would pay their tithe. . .:biggrin_25522:

If you aren't going anywhere in the southern UT area...from Vegas go north on 95 to Tonopah, east on US 6 to Ely, then north on 93 to Wendover and 80 to SLC....avoid the hassles...of course reverse the course if going south!
